PRLIS: Relief for Telangana as Krishna tribunal rejects AP plea

The Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal II has dismissed a petition filed by Andhra Pradesh against Telangana's Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme. The tribunal stated that it did not have the authority to consider the interim relief sought by Andhra Pradesh and directed them to approach the appropriate authority. With this ruling, Telangana can now submit the detailed project reports of the irrigation scheme to the Central Water Commission for approval. Andhra Pradesh is considering approaching the Supreme Court in response to the tribunal's decision.
