No nod to 2 MLC names, guv cites 'missing category'

Governor Tamilisai Soundarajan's stickler for category in MLC nominations has triggered a fresh flashpoint in wobbly ties with the state government. Top sources told TOI that Raj Bhavan is still undecided on giving assent to two names - Dasoju Sravan and Kurra Satyanarayana - under the governor's quota as the government did not specify the category for nomination in its recommendations. These include social services, academics, arts, literature, or prominence in public life.
