
The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) was booked for alleged transfusion of tainted blood to a thalassemia-afflicted three-year-old boy, who turned HIV positive soon after. An FIR was lodged under Section 338 (causing grievous hurt by endangering life) against the blood bank on a complaint by the child's parents.
