Centre to buy 6 lakh MT of rice from Telangana

After weeks of allegations and counter allegations between TRS and BJP, with the former even threatening to dump paddy at India Gate in New Delhi, the central government finally sent a written assurance to the state that it will procure an additional 6 lakh metric tonnes of vanakalam (kharif) rice from Telangana.
