Cyclone Nivar: Andhra Pradesh put on red alert

Severe cyclonic storm Nivar is likely to cross the Bay of Bengal coast between Chennai and Puducherry on Wednesday triggering heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in some parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Though Tamil Nadu will be affected the most by Nivar, some areas in Telangana including Hyderabad may get heavy to extremely heavy rainfall on Wednesday and Thursday.
